Top Reason You Have No Motivation To Lose Weight And How To Change It!

It is easy to lose motivation to lose weight when you have friends and family members always asking you to party or drink. To make things worse, you probably live with people who always snack on junk foods like chips or biscuits. These are great temptations when it comes to your goal of losing weight. However, I believe the number one underlying reason behind why you have no motivation to lose weight is because you are constantly being discouraged by your lack of results!

I find it exceptionally hard to continue believing in your exercise regimen and diet when you do not see clear and obvious results. It makes us doubt whether what we are doing is actually effective. However, I hope you understand that even if you are performing your exercise regimen intensely enough, and keep your diet very clean, you may still notice varying degrees of results each week. This is due to the fact that weight loss, similar to muscle gains, occurs in spurts. The best way though, is to ensure that the steps you are taking to lose weight are effective, and that is what I am going to share with you today.

Firstly, you have to make sure that you are in a calorie deficit. This term basically means that you should always be burning more calories through your exercises and daily activities than the amount of calories you are consuming.

Next, you have to consistently increase the intensity of your exercise regimen. You can either increase the number of repetitions or reduce rest time between sets. For running, you should be reducing the amount of time needed to complete a fixed distance. Do not consistently increase the amount of distance you are covering as that will eventually make your running regimen become boring over time.

Lastly, you have to find a source of motivation from deep within yourself. Many people claim that their motivation or reason to lose weight is either health related or simply become fitter. Those are great reasons to lose weight, but certainly not motivational enough for you in the long run.

You have to search deep within yourself to find out what is the real underlying reason you decide to lose weight. It could be a desire to gain more confidence. It could be to want to dare to take off your clothes without worrying about being embarrassed by the way your body looks. It could be to attract more attention from people of the opposite gender. Regardless of what reason or motivation you come up with, it has to be something you strongly identify with.

The above techniques should be sufficient for you to keep your motivation level to lose weight high!
